My guess is that you had a BaddiTuski left. They're slow and sometimes you have to wait a bit for them to get to you. Or ... it could be a bug.

I zig-zagged the screen several times, aborted, and replayed a few times. The answer was to start over. Must have been something corrupted. I noticed in that round that one of the monsters wasn't showing any damage from my shots, but finally just disappeared.
Good now.
