If you're going to introduce people to Sudoku, you might not want to scare them off with a 4x4 alphanumerical one...those are just a wee bit advanced.
If you want to teach Sudoku, you should always add a tutorial. Start off with a 3x3 numerical. That's the simplest form, and you always start small and build up...then you know how you got there.
