It's stupid because thebaron says so!
Silly me, I forgot that he knows everything.
Learning about Islam in education sense is one thing, but what's next: Devil worship?
I don't know what you are trying to insinuate by suggesting Devil worship is the next thing after education about Islam, but I think the court has a much better view of the facts of the case than you do from reading such a biased article.

It's one thing to discuss it. It's another thing to have you act out practicing it and to give it more airtime than any other religion. It's doubly annoying right now as yo have the same court system upholding rulings that you can't discuss the birth of jesus when talking about christmas because it isn't a substantiated fact. Somehow islam and judaism are pardoned form this because somehow they aren't politically incorrect enough compared to christianity. Despite the fact that all three are abrahamic religions. DEspite the fact that say chanuka is the celebration of mystically lasting lamp oil that is also insubstantiated. etc.
It's a load of crap. I'd be pissed if my kid were going through this kind of education. Just as I would be pissed if they had them dressing up in morman underwear, reading excerpts of morman scripture, and having evnagelical games to "convert" people. Same would go for christian equivalents.
heck it might be useful to sit the kiddies down with the main texts of all the major world religions to ensure they know what the hell they are arguing about, but there's a line of indoctrination that you shouldn't cross. This sounds like crossing it.
I am saying the courts have gone bonkers and no longer support the proper rule of law. Roe vs. Wade and countless other rulings are just downright insulting. Using total opinion and laws from other countries to change our laws in downright traitorious.

LMFAO!!
They are called "Garments", and I asked a very religious girl once, "What the deal with the garb?" She said, "Its to remind you of the promises you made to Heavenly Father, and to protect you." I said..."Huh?"
If I'm such a dumb fuck that I can't remember who I promised what to, Im an asshole to begin with and wearing a blessed piece of cloth isn't going to change anything.::grin::
Just thought I'd play on that. ::grin::::grin::::grin::::grin::
I don't necessarily agree with it either, but the article is indeed biased and his insinuation that devil worship was the next thing pissed me off.
He insinuated no such thing. You have a chip on your shoulder.
Sorry I did not put the sarcasm flag on. Sorry, I'm not really sorry.

IMHO he was talking about the ludicrousness of the entire situation with Satanism serving as a basis fir comparison. If that doesnt make sense, I apologize. If I'm not drunk right now, I'm pretty damn close
You are the winner!!!
Get a mitten and catch a clue, OGT!

Holy crikey, in this day and age why can't they teach children about critical thinking? If we spend time teaching them about different religions, we should also teach them that religions are just belief systems, usually spread by indoctrination rather than a cold hard look at the facts.
Anathema
This is stupid because?
