Hey TheBaron, what do you think was 'Stupid' about this article? The fact that this individual was reprimanded or for marrying someone who he was in love with?

The way you submit links, I assume you think the stupid part was him getting married.

Isn't this the stupid part:

"after their commanding officer tried to block the weddings"

How the hell does this come under the jurisdiction of the commander or the army for that matter?

Let him marry who he wants to. What the hell are we fighting for anyway? The right to be free to do just that.

Yes. Many GI's married Koreans during that war. I have a friend that is engaged with a Philipina who he met while fighting Taliban there.

He was discharged not because of the marriage but because of this.

"Sgt. Sean Blackwell, 27, is being punished for divulging the time and location of the patrol to his bride, Ehdaa, and the Iraqi judge who married them, but he avoided a possible court-martial for dereliction of duty and disobeying orders, said Pensacola attorney Richard Alvoid."

Thebaron i know you were in the military before and so was I...and we all know shit like this is a big no no.
