And by the way, if I was to say that Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her front porch, you guys would be all over me, reminded me that Tina Fey said that. (Palin only said about a hundred times that you could see Russia from part of Alaska)
But you guys can repeat the old lie that Al Gore claimed to have invented the internet so often, that a lot of people actually believe it. I remember Gore talking about "The Information Superhighway" back in the 80's. He is the first person I ever heard use the expression. He didn't invent anything, but he saw the value in what later became the internet long before any politician I know of.
So Gore got the internet right, and got it right long before almost anyone else. That fact has been turned on its head, by people like steamed, into something to make fun of the guy.
Mr. Gramps is right. Al just created the current western version of the Internet, he didn't invent it. Just like infidels misinterpret that their god "invented" rather than just created the heavens and earth and man in his image, their God just made a copy of somebody else's heaven and earth invention. Our Chinese agents do the same to weaponize industry and currency. We reverse engineer and make fragile cheap counterfeits of western made machines, parts and even money and flood your markets with these dangerous, faulty items loaded with viruses and trojans designed to cause the thing to break at the moment the Chinese get their carrier fleet built up and ready to battle. It all depends on what your concept of "is" "is" and what invent "is" versus create. You say toemateo, I say toemoto, Dan Quayle says potatoe. Anybody can create a wheel, but likely only one person or a small group of people, invented the wheel. So Al is just like Iran. He did not do anything special for Internets, he just created another copy of one that already existed. So don't give the guy credit for anything extraordinary, OK? I hope this clears things up for you Gore attackers.
