It is clever, but I am confused. Is Mattie Fein a real candidate and is Jane Harman a real member of Congress? It almost seems a bit too clever unless you already have name recognition of the characters involved. The only name I know in that bit is Iran's president "I'm A Dinner Jacket."
In Florida, this cycle has seen nothing funny, clever, or even tolerable. In the Dem primary, one guy has TV, print, and robo-call ads calling his dem opponent "CORRUPT" based on something his mom did concerning a Cadillac. Bonus: his name sounds like one George Lucas made up for a bad Star Wars sequel.
On the GOP it is even worse in the race for governor, with the guy who was fined $1.7 Billion for Medicare fraud calling the Christian Conservative culture warrior guy a "LIAR" over something trivial the guy said about the Arizona immigration law.
The whole thing is sickening.
