I never said Obama should go down and hand clean the beach, but if that is your simple minded interpretation - then you are entitled to that. There was the memorial day photo when Obama stuck his finger in the sand and looked concerned then flew back to Chicago.
If you haven't noticed, it is affecting the United States. The current administration has not done all they could to help alleviate the oil spill spreading. That is the opinion of most in America .. to bad that there are those that are so biased only because the president is a democrat that they can't see straight ... how's your vision these days Kano? You seem to be making things up that I said and you apparently haven't been watching the Federal Govt follies.

The "shakedown" of BP was a good start.
The Feds knew before the explosion there were issues, nothing was done. The feds knew just after the oil spill how much was being leaked .. they hid the film for the public and then did not tell the truth about how much was being leaked.
The response was slow to get resources to the rig to help contain the original spill .. there is still inadequate barriers and containment to for the spill .. the red tape hinders cleanup.
Perhaps it is just me .. I'm an engineer, I would have had them drilling counter wells from day 2 to relieve the pressure and get the pressure under a manageable amount. Obama is a lawyer .. he just wants to sue the son of a guns .. that does not help the people in the gulf get rid of the oil.
I don't blame GW or Obama for the explosion .. there should have been tighter inspections .. but apparently - like in so many walks of life - those inspectors were bought off .. ask how the bankers and Wall Street got away with murder .. and continue too .. simple greed.
I think his biggest failings was not having the resources there from the start, Not having federal engineers telling how BP was going to stop this leak, the inadequate barriers and the red tape3. Hey the cat was out of the bag .. how you keep that damage to a minimum is the utmost importance. I really don't mind that Obama was playing gold so much .. IF he had really done all he could have .. IF he could have muster more resources to the containment .. that is where I think he has failed.
