Is it the fact that it's happening in international water that makes it his responsibility? Or his financing BP, sitting on the board, owning it even???

By the way, you have it backward. BP owns Obama! They gave him millions in "CONTRIBUTIONS" (much more than they gave any other politician they bought) so that he would stay off their backs. It worked! By the way, it is in US territorial waters (or oil and waters now that Obama is almost through with it).
You're right! It is not his responsibility! That's why he is saying such stupid things as "you can just pick up the oil balls as they come ashore!"
Nobody holds Obama responsible for anything, that's the big problem! Everybody knows he has never had a job requiring any responsibility, so how can he take it now?

I only wish Bush was as sensible as BO in the comment below. If Bush would not have gone mad, screaming and hurling directly himself into hurricane Katrina, the government dependents would not have complained nearly as loud as all the conservatives do when they are hit with disasters.

Everyone knew Katrina would be as bad as it was, they where telling people to evacuate well before hand. Bush COULD have had things prepared. This oil leak was completly unexpected (though i will agree they shouldnt do more offshore drilling without a good backup plan) so why are you comparing the two?
