That's a really old video and I think it's staged. Plus cars usually have two sensors that both need to be triggered for an airbag to deploy.
May have changed from 2003, but back then it was either one to trigger the airbag! We had a jackass of a foreman that instead of stopping the line when the automatic torque wrench went down kept going with a non-calibrated one and had stripped out the mounting screws for the front sensor! It got caught when one of the first cars affected went over a bump and set off the airbag in the factory! Needless to say he got hauled on the carpet and none of those cars made it to the customers! The driver got one hell of a sock in the kisser though!

I bet most people don't know that is where the crash sensor is mounted on most cars! BLAM! right in the kisser with an airbag! Not only did that hurt, but it is going to be very expensive to replace! Douche bag deserved it anyway!
