Good reason to pass this health care bill .. probably the best reason so far .. which says that this bill sucks rotten eggs. That Doesn't matter to most liberals though.
Once again, Big T, the doctors at the medical meeting I attended recently don't see it the same way as the spinmeisters you are listening to. There is a lot they don't like in the Bill, the big cuts in Medicare for example and a couple of other provisions that they think will cost them income, but as for the parts that pertain to patients, they (I am generalizing here) tend to think that what is in the reform is mostly a long time coming, and the impact on the public will be mostly to the good.
This particular specialty is officially neutral on reform. (I say that so you don't think I am trying to spin this) But even the national president of the group, who is very well informed, having members of both Parties and both houses of Congress as close contacts, doesn't think that this is any of the things (Socialism, government takeover of health care, going to bankrupt America) that the scare tactic mongers are screaming and throwing tea bags about.
And a LOT of the unnecessary cost of this reform is for getting the last few votes needed to pass it. The more conservative dems, for the most part, are adding extra cost to the reform by holding out for abortion bans, and what not.

How about "I don't know" so STFU?! I don't know a lot of things. And you know what? I'm not going to tell you about them on my freaking radio show. Even if I had a radio show.
