They were both talking shit in the video, but I saw the man get up and move as far away from the kid as he could. Then the kid got up, moved toward the man and attacked him. Regardless of what was said, the kid started the physical part of the confrontation. You don't have to like people or what they say, but it doesn't give you the right to attack them.
I saw an interview with the girl who shot the vid, and she was saying fighting is wrong, etc. Yet you can hear her in the video saying "Beat that white ass! Beat that ass! Say it again pinky!" Not enough attention is being drawn to her.
Not for lack of her trying. And after her buddy started leaking, she said "we can press charges". She is an idiot.
In the interview video posted this old guy didnt make a damn bit of sence, and also if you watch the video of the actual fight it starts with shoe shine comments just like they claim. Now from the other videos and this one i'd say there a good chance this old guy just went around pushing buttons. Also note the smile and enjoyment the old man gets out of everyones anger. Also note how many people are actually standing up for the kid on the bus compared to how many are standing up for the old man. Sorry folks, i think this old guy another nutter and with the things in his interview not making sence i'd say theres a good chance half of it lies.
Kinda like when he said he "knocked the kid out for 22 minutes" We all saw the kid get up. In another instance he claims the kid had a knife, but the next instance he claims he himself had a "shank" and had the rights to use it, he goes further to claim he stabed and shot men previously for the same thing!!!! He then goes on to claim he did 14 years in prison for "drugs and pimping" Sorry kidos, this old man just as nuts and as much of a trouble maker as the kid.
As for the girl, its quite clear she was making fun of the young guy mostly. They laughed half the time and kept calling him blood, obviously an insult to all the blue he had on lol
As for who started it, the kid made first contact but i dont think that was a hit at all, maybe a slap. In short though, both these guys insane and so is most everyone supporting one or the other because both wrong.
Hit...slap? What's the difference? It was still a physical attack. I'm not saying the guy isn't nuts, but why should he have to sit and take a physical attack and not respond? He didn't kill the kid. He gave him a bloody nose. Looked like a reasonable response to being hit, slapped or whatever you want to call it.
Inst6ant Karma got the kid ... got him twice .. the smack down he got and then getting locked up for his prior transgressions. It's public transit in Oakland and you have to expect some weird people/ You don't go up and confront some one and then take poke at them and face the consequences .. the kid is punk. As far as justice served on the old man .. he obviously gets around on the streets ... had a few screws loose and I wouldn't give him 3 months to live in Oakland with all the publicity that this has gotten. Some bigger badder punk(s) will take him out. The kid should have just minded his own business and he wouldn't have been in jail right now.
Well, i'm not saying the kid should have done anything like he did. Just that from everything coming out the old crazy guy prob started this altercation just be trying to push peoples buttons and they are both in the wrong.. You see alot of people taking up for this old guy when hes just as bad, i dont see a reason to endorse either side with any favor.
Keep in mind the only thing i have seen that said anythiing about the kid getting arrested was the old man ranting. How ever we have seen other video of the old man getting arrested in the past. And video of him completly flipping out after leaving the bus.
