Historian Michael Beschloss: Yeah. Even aside from the fact of electing the first African American President and whatever one's partisan views this is a guy whose IQ is off the charts , I mean you cannot say that he is anything but a very serious and capable leader and , you know , You and I have talked about this for years

Imus: Well. What is his IQ?

Historian Michael Beschloss: our system doesnt allow those people to become President those people meaning people THAT smart and THAT capable

Imus: What is his IQ?

Historian Michael Beschloss: Pardon?

Imus: What is his IQ?

Historian Michael Beschloss: Uh. I would say it's probably, he's probably the smartest guy ever to become President.

Imus: Thats not what I asked you. I asked you what his IQ was.

Historian Michael Beschloss: You know that I don't know and Id have to find someone with more expertise

Imus: You don't know.

Historian Michael Beschloss: What do YOU think it is?

Imus: I don't know. Well mine is 164. I don't know what that means but its a little higher than normal I guess.

Historian Michael Beschloss: Well its way beyond genius which does not surprise me.

Imus: It surpprised a lot of people when we took it.

Historian Michael Beschloss: Well it doesnt surprise me.

I think every president since Nixon has used them at one time or another. Reagan used them all the time. If it is some kind of scandal that Obama uses one, it is the weakest, lamest, silliest scandal since Jimmy Carter's brother urinated outdoors after drinking a lot of beer.

If the teleprompter issues resonates with you, fine go with it, but I suspect what it really means is that you listen to too much talk radio where they can spin anything up into a big deal.

The statement "every president since Nixon" only identifies "every president since Nixon". If I stated that every president since Nixon had an Adam's apple, that would not exclude any of the preceding presidents from having Adam's apples.

Nor does having an Adam's apple exclude non Adams from having Adam's apples. Or Adams' from having Adams' apples. Including Adam's or Adams' or Adamses' from having apples. Or Apples, if they like Macs. Or macs for wet weather if even if they aren't Steve Jobs. Nor be employed in a job if they are Steves.

Er...cabin fever? Eeeees the crazy talking.

Wasn't Reagan the first one to use the new see through version of the teleprompter, so that he had better eye contact with the camera? I thought that was considered one of the reason he won the first time around!

Obama uses teleprompter at elementary school

and the video

Kano is right about Ron Paul - he doesn't have to read what some one else writes for him - he just says it from the heart.

Ron Paul does give speeches that are written on paper, I'm pretty sure he writes his material though.
