Don't forget the Unions too .. and only select congress members .. gotta love the representation these days in DC.

And even though the backroom deals are being done with the WH .. Obama has nothing to do with them

Same as it always was or worse ... I guess that is what was meant by time for a change.

I think Obama lost control of the health care reform process a long time ago. There are various members of Congress who won't vote for it unless it has certain provisions. The same goes for the drug companies, the medical societies, the insurance industry, and the list goes on and on.

I didn't say that Obama has nothing to do with it, but he isn't writing the legislation. Congress is doing that and it is obvious that the president has very limited control over this Democratic Congress.

It has turned into a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

I have to point out, Obama never had control over the health care reform. It has always been under the control of Congress, and pushed for by the Democratic party majority, of which Obama was basically the mouthpiece on this issue. Beyond publicly stating his support (or lack thereof) for the bill, Obama's only power is to either approve the bill or veto it, forcing Congress to try to overturn his veto.

Yeah that is pretty much the case, but Obama campaigned on the issue and he is still Cheerleader in Chief on the issue.

That was one of the things that baffled me about Obama's campaign, and one of the reasons I didn't vote for him. How could Obama spearhead a Congressional issue as President? He needs about three hundred more people to push that through. He wouldn't be responsible for the health care changes, he and Congress would be.

Sorry, i still think most people see what Obama has done as a lesser of evils. It may not be perfect but hey, what happened to most people soo loud now during the past admins? Seems they where silent through chumped up wars, crooked big oil deals etc. But, now the scream about it *shrugs* just shows some people have priorities that dont always go along with "We the people" But also, its a big part of the current aggression in the political spectrum. The libs, Obama supporters etc pissed that now people want to yell when so much has been done that was horriably wrong, yet it was shrugged of, ignored, and at times even supported by those complaining so much now, blaming everything on Obama and in the other hand, claiming the libs blame everything on Bush.. Its really all a bad joke at this point.

::edit:: The " Anyone else sick of this guy yet?" a good point on what i had to say.. Let alone its Fox "news" it was a slam that wasnt needed and just thrown in there to make the other side pissy.

I agree with you to a point. Bush is actually liable for the recent systemic failure of the Earths crust in Haiti.

I'll remind everyone again that the poor lower-middle class people opposing this reform will be the first ones in line to file for bankruptcy when they have a heart attack or get cancer.

I am going form the New Age Amish group.... and the nationalist has not read the bill or even it's highlights, so can't prove that this bill will save the middle class which it won't.

You guys can spin all you want but the bottom line here is that bringing health insurance to millions of Americans who don't have it now can only be a good thing.

It won't violate the Constitution, or cause Marxism to break out all over, it will just let people who need medical care and can't get it now, get it.

Odd that this is being spun into such a horrible crime.

If the bottom line is

bringing health insurance to millions of Americans who don't have it now can only be a good thing.

I go along with that

Does the end justify the means .. does a little waterboarding and you get the result OK?

Special deals with Unions, certain states, religions, Big Pharm and health care insurance providers does not make a good deal. Goodness knows what other deals are being made as this is all behind closed doors .. the 2000 page bill will not be read but will be voted on quickly by congress and the WH.

What part of that sounds OK to you?

Just the part where the uninsured get coverage. The rest sucks.
