I've seen them 3 times and man do they put on a good show.
This is great except for one minor hitch, the rather bland U2 music.
Shame on you Gramps.
I don't dislike U2, but I find their music somewhat boring, except for a couple of medium-good songs.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion (even if it is almost always wrong 
) but I think they are like the Beatles to my generation. For 30 years now they have utilized so many different styles in their music I don't see how you can call them boring.
At least he's not all fist-shaking and Yellin' "get off my lawn, you whipper-snappers, with your rock and/or roll!
Naw, that ain't me, ML, that was the previous generation, the one that called The King "Elvis The Pelvis" and said Rock music came from the devil.
The Beatles were my generation's Beatles and they were a hell of a lot better at it than U2 is.
I do admit that I am as opinionated about music as I am on other topics, but true to form, it doesn't bother me if others have a different opinion from me. After all, diversity enhances the potential for survival, or at least that is what they taught me in Biology.
But it isn't all about the era that one grew up in. I like a lot of bands more than U2, for example REM.
We have home movies of my sister and I ages 5 & 7-dancing to the Beatles. No sound but we know what was playing.
Not a huge fan, but I like them.
And Bono is seriously a nice guy.
