You can argue socialist or not till you are blue in the face.
The suggestion is a bad idea. Having the press beholden to the government financially is a bad idea. Converting the press to a 503(c) has significant repercussions regarding political speech with relation to elections.
Why do we continue to prop up failing businesses. If people aren't reading the newspaper, why save it? The last time I looked we're about $12 trillion in debt.
It's not that there is a consumer demand for the products, and because the items are bailed out does not mean the demand will increase, we just need the conservative taxpayers to preserve the progressive union employee votes and the progressive voice they provide. As well we need to as keep them afloat so that the government can take over their ownership and fully make them the voice of the progressive party, in the claim that they are just helping the public out.
