One could reason that for the purpose of predicting weather, particularly disastrous conditions like floods and hurricanes is a small price to pay for a lack of energy efficiency on the part of the Met Office.
On the other hand since weather is unpredictable anyway (due to the butterfly effect for one) then its typical that the UK Government has given us another example of Double Standards on the stance of climate change.
The world is like a giant car, were speeding towards a brick wall at 100 miles per hour and everybody's arguing over where to sit..
