A year ago the attitude was, IF THE PRESIDENT DOES IT, IT CAN'T BE ILLEGAL.
Now, the same people are saying if the president doesn't look BOTH WAYS before crossing the street, he should be impeached for jaywalking.
I wonder what caused the change in attitude from last year to this year.
Brain damage from the drugs you are taking leave you unable to remember last year. I don't remember you ever saying that if Bush did it, it can't be illegal!
I just checked and you can't get brain damage from drugs that lower your cholesterol (the only kind I take).
On the other hand, I can't speak for you, because I am not one of those people who ever said that the president can do no wrong. The whole 'if the president does it, it isn't illegal' point of view comes from Richard Nixon. Nixon was wrong then and everyone who agrees with that, regardless of party, is also wrong.
My bigger beef is with those who have one standard when someone they voted for is in office and a totally different one when the opposite party is in power.
Just last year YOU were saying it was wrong what GW and Cheney were doing ... now it's OK !?!?!?..
I wonder what caused the change in attitude from last year to this year.
Just plain illegal. But if congress and the media looks the other way, nothing will happen.
