I can't quite get how someone can send so many messages in that period of time. Do teachers let them sit in class just texting? Shhhheeeet. We couldn't even write a note even.

The amount of money made over something as stupid as text messaging just amazes me. I know so many people who had similar situations.
Especially when the message is carried along a signal that is ALWAYS PRESENT with a phone that is on. There are no special requirements to send a text. That carrier signal is the same signal that tells the cell towers where you are, and what cells to switch to when you move.
There have been talks of class action suits against phone carriers for charging for a service, that basically isn't even a service.
Forget hammering the phone. He should have taken a belt to her ass.
