That fact that a majority of Americans now drive foreign cars is a big part of the problem. A symptom of it anyway.
I drive a Ford, what do you guys drive?

I drive a Toyota and as long as the quality of American cars stays the same, I'll never drive a domestic again. I have between my dad and I, nearly 15 Chevrolet or GMC trucks/suv's that we've bought for work. NOT 1 has made it past 30 days without warranty work.

Now with us both driving Toyotas, we have a combined mileage of 150K with NO WARRANTY work whatsoever.

Every god damned GM truck I've owned has left me stranded somewhere. My Toyota costs the same, employs American workers (I wonder where all those GM's are made...hmmm....) and never fails to start or haul 2000 lbs when I need it to.

GM can kiss the fattest part of my ass.

I put 240,000 miles on my Chevy without any warranty work or being stranded. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Toy-ota

Now members of the administration are calling on people to break the law! Bobo has hit bottom and keeps digging!

We have previously debated whether James Hansen should be fired for appearing as a defense witness for U.K. eco-vandals, the Knightsbridge Six.

But with Hansen now calling for civil disobedience at U.S. power plants that's the last straw for the Heartland Institute.

The new calls for [Hansen's] resignation or termination come following his appearance in a video calling for civil disobedience at a protest at a power plant in Washington, DC.

It is plainly improper for someone on the U.S. government payroll to advocate civil disobedience on behalf of a non-government advocacy group, said Dan Miller, executive vice president of The Heartland Institute and former chairman of the Illinois Commerce Commission. As long as a public official is on the public payroll, his first loyalty is to his constituency, not to some outside pressure group calling on people to break the law, Miller said.
