The ones I know are nothing like that. I guess I'm hangin' with the wrong crowd.
There are a few religious fanatics out there ...from every religion that give everyone else a bad name. It just seems like the more orthodox or strict religious beliefs that a fantaic holds he is that much over the brink of reality.
Islam has a much larger percentage of fanatics compared to other religions! Considering most Islamic countries have their head up their asses!
At this point in its development, Christianity had about the same percentage of whackos. It takes time for secular society to grow strong enough to slam the door on the fundies. Hopefully it happens there sooner than later, and hopefully we don't regress any further than we already have.
If Muslim men are that out of control over the site of a woman, then they should be the ones who cannot leave the house with out being accompanied by their wife or sister. Make them wear burkas to keep their eyes from wandering. Rape is the product of a rapist. I can't believe the women of the world can stand for this barbarism.
