The first Kong movie was interpreted as just that. The producers were worried about the public's attitude toward interracial relationships and it influenced the writing and production.
Hence the white gorilla stories.

Ignoring that USSR era wacko-science article from the 20's about human-ape crossbreed society, but King Kong don't match the black atitude that prevents them from leaving their most self-inflicted shithole areas due to gangs, drugs, welfare attitude, and just plain laziness. Come visit some of Pittsburgh areas that they have taken over which were considered nice places until they moved in and never took care of their houses/streets/themselves.
It is not entirely their fault, but he don't help himself don't get much pity from me. Might be considered racism by some, but the truth hurts.
