I am a black female and I don't understand his statement that we need to stop complaining. If you want anyone, whether black, white, red or yellow, to stop complaining then do your f@#$ing job. This is not a black or white thing, this is a people thing and trying to take care of their families, and trying to find a job. If you want no more complaints then make something happen you f!@#ing puppet!!!!!

Again .. no comment on the president on the United States telling them to follow him for a fight, rally around him .. because he is black, don't be negative about Obama, because of the color of his skin. A genuine .. we shall overcome type speech.
I guess whatever works for him, he's been a very successful person and politician and he must know what he is doing.
The ..."y'all" is a very nice personal touch .. for a man born in Hawaii, lived in Jakarta, went to a private school in So Cal, went to Harvard, lived in New York and Chicago and he uses the southern "y'all" to be like one of the 'regular' folk. A good communicator.
For sure there are negative comments, and for sure die hard democrats can't accept the article for what it is. After all - Yahoo - is pretty broad spectrum news site - it's not like Huffpo .. wait .. here is Huffpo's , There are not as many comments however, I guess a lot of people were biting their tongue because he is a democrat. There were comments to the effect that he gave a really good speech and that only a few sound bytes were taken from it, and that this wasn't fair. Sadly sound bytes is what is always played for the mass media however ... sound bytes sell.
Meanwhile the prez is on the left coast this weekend. In the SF Bay area he is having some fund raiser$ at $35,000 a plate dinner, not too sure if "y'all" are invited or not, unless you show up with some $erious Do-re-mi.

I searched the Net to see if he gave a similar speech to the congressional white caucus but I couldn't find anything. If anyone finds something on it please let us know so we can point out that Obama erred in speaking to such a racist group.
