I've lost money in the stock markets under both presidents. How's that hope and change doing for you. Under both presidents the rich have gotten a lot richer .. and the middle class and poor have gotten poorer .. oh and congress has gotten richer too.
I guess you didn't catch the part about the prez going out to fundraisers so that he could get re-elected. If I was president, I would have been in meetings with my advisers trying to figure out what to do, instead of trying to make money for my election.
I guess with the advisers that Obama has though Obama must go to the dart board to make his tough decisions ... a dart board with selections like .. the republicans did it .. Bush did it .. Tee Time in a half and hour .... the tea party/terrorists did it .. we all must behave responsibly .. the tallyban did it ... Tee Time in a half and hour... the rich people with airplanes .... Tee Time in a half and hour
T, i find it odd you posted news from monday when the market went up 429.92 points tuesday.
fropfreak, i dont think T was a member here when GWB took office. So you wont find that info.
I did come by this though and got a laugh.
"the US debt is unreal and continues to grow, You can't lay blame on just Bush for this .. although he has been a major contributor."

I became a member in 2003 ... I visited before that time, I just had not joined.
If you're keeping track .. the market is down 300 points as of now, Weds - 0720 AM PDT. DOH ... 400 points by 726AM... yeah what a rally!
No I do not think that this is a good thing, I have money invested in the markets. I do think we are in for a roller coaster ride this week and weeks to follow as the worlds economies groan and shudder. I think that the folks in DC have got to do a better job of managing the budget, states have to do a better job too, why should they be any different than you or I. an increase of $2.3 trillion in the debt ceiling .. and do you really think it will stop there unless there are some real changes???
Bay Area investors ponder the reality of a 'lost decade' ... talks about how investors have really not made any progress in the past 10 years. The folks who have made money are people who have been selling with computer programs and selling on short increases .. no one is really investing long term is making money it seems.
Again .. the link was intended to show how Obama was out fundraising at two events on a Monday night - the stock market had gone down like 1100 points in the two previous days, the largest death of human lives in Afghanistan, the country's credit rating had just been downgraded and his efforts were being put on fund raising .. don't you think that perhaps his time might have been more logically spend on those current issues?
Of course you don't otherwise you might be questioning the presidents actions instead of how great the stock market is doing and previous posts of the ~29,000 links and over 13,000 comments in the past 8 or so years.
Gish .. having just looked up those numbers, I can see that I have wasted a lot of time at this social networking site - it has been interesting at times. It leads to the question ... why do people use social networking sites ... is it to share ideas and thoughts ... to vent ... to express themselves ... to go look for fights or to troll ... anyway, I digress. It is an interesting topic - why do people visit and more relevant ... why do they post the things they do at MV?
It drives me crazy ... all those who complain and complain about GW and now are silent as can be about Obama --- their policies are not that different yet some how the party affiliation is what matters. If you have no better thing to do, go back and search my posts on times that I said I did no agree with GW Bush or the repug - you will find that there are far more than let's say Gramps has posted about Obama and the dems ... yet I never see resurrected going back and saying ... well in 2007 you said this!!!!
Such a trivial thing to do anyway, going back and looking at posts from the past on a social networking site. I can see and have posted about how the main stream republican party has failed the American people and that the main stream dems and repubs are virtually the same.
It is unfortunate that those steeped in dogma that can only express the virtues of their political favorite party though and can not see the shortcomings - there is no improvements made when that occurs. With that being said, there will never be change for the good. I have posted many many times about having voted for different party's other than repub, voting third party .. voting for Ron Paul .. go ahead and look up those posts since you are intent on making a statement on how bias I am. On the pother hand if you vote for the same political party .. election after election, regardless of the candidates and their views .. you just might be the cause of the problem and not the solution to a lot of what ails America today.
And it might go lower today, it doesnt change the fact you only go into bad news on Obama and not good. Yet when Bush is in office you half defended him. You do the exact reverse of what you claim makes you "crazy" which in turn drives alot of other people "crazy". The thing is you started long ago, from before Obama was in office. I wouldnt say the Obama supporters start it all with that in mind.
Its about like saying "Vote Ron Paul" every other post then making fun of "Hope and change".
You and Gramps can give the Obama good news, I'm still looking for some. If I see something that I like then perhaps I would post it. Perhaps you can call Obama going on vacation to Martha's Vineyard good news. I'd like to say that I have the financial leverage to blow $50,000 dollars on a vacation - how 'bout you - got some of that change in your pocket?
Here is some comic relief from Felonious Munk Presents: Stop It B! OBAMA PAY YOUR &*%$#% BILLS (LNSFW).
And again, do you think Ron Paul wont take a vacation for 4 years if he wins? You are only putting unresonable terms out because its a dem in office and you dont like it. *shrugs* Same as you half defended a repub for the same actions (as you claim, they are no different) and went for Obama's head. Why you might ask? Because you dont like him being a dem. Its that easy and has been happening even before the guy took office and made one single choice.
Of course CMASS takes every opportunity to diss Bush whenever possible ..
http://madville.com/funny/109183_who_would_want_to_vacation_5_weeks_in_texas_in_august_the_president_does#comments
Yah, when Bush went on more vacations then any president it was that evil liberal media bashing him... I dont think all you're views lean, but i do think and will point out you have a obvious biased against Obama. I will point that out as long as its present atleast.
As for me and gramps giving Obama good news, someone has to level the field between you, steamed and barons posts. Not that i post alot of Obama news, more so i bring out points that are hypocritical. Also, i dont even support several things Obama and the dems do, though i support even less of what the right does.
Ron Paul should be our next prez if we are lucky.. but he won't be, The sheep won't vote for him as the MSM won't endorse him ... gee wonder who's pushing the buttons on the MSM.
You asked me for some good Obama news and I posted he was going on vacation ... and that I wish I had $50 K to drop on a vacation - how about you? .. then you go to democrat response #1 .. well GW did it .. needless to say every dem from Maine to Hawaii was ALWAYS bashing GW ... now it is an established thing to do.
.
I didnt ask you for good Obama news, i asked you to lose biased.. IE if you want to bash someone keep the same upstanding for them all. Dont cut slack for one and bash the next one.
And no, i did not go to "Decomcrat response #1" i pointed out that you in the past stuck up for Bush for the same thing you bash Obama for, Maybe we can call that "republican dodge #9001"
So, at the end of the day we have the same situation.. You claim Obama and Bush the same, you supported, half supported or just didnt comment on Bush for years and now bash Obama for the same actions every chance you get.. Why? Because you are biased. Are you being some bastion of freedom fighting? Nope, if so you would hold them both accountable. The same as you claim everyone else should, maybe you should start that good intent at home and treat them all the same.
And yes, just for you we will never ever mention that a Bush has been in control of the nation for the better part of 30 years and has a big hand in what we have today.
Oh cripe .. lose your bias .. when you going to do that - you mean I can't voice my opinion because it is different than yours. Typical .. do as I say mentality ... or my S**T don't stink .. but yours does.
I do have a gripe though . how come so many MV'ers only comment on the political threads .. and then get their nose pushed out of shape because their opinion is different than theirs?
I posted many other fine MV style articles yesterday .. I liked the one most with kids and their pets .. yet no comments ... the kid with the zits at MCD's was good too. ML was the only comment on the cute kitten vid.
Fine if you want to dwell on the negative politics - then where is your head at all the time? Shoot even steamed replied to Bert and Ernie getting married article.
Look, BO millions are tied up in the stock market too. THat means he lost campaign financing cash - he needs to replace with 45k a plate dinners from the rich and greedy, wouldn't you do the same?
This is how the conservative media works; every day they have to have an outrage, something to fire up the base with red meat.
So this day the outrage de jour is that Obama is fiddling while the stock market burns. Makes sense if you just look at that one day in isolation, but falls apart when the following day the market is back up and then the day after that it goes down again and then up and so on.
They won't follow up with more stock market outrages for a little while, they will try to fuel outrage over the First Lady telling kids to eat their veggies (THERE IS NOTHING IN THE CONSTITUTION THAT SAYS WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO A LECTURE AGAINST BACON, blah, blah, blah blah blah.)
So they keep moving the topics around every day, but the common theme is that every day there is something to get all steamed about, something that would be perfectly okay if their guy was doing it. It surprises me that more people don't catch on to this tactic, especially since we had eight solid years of daily outrage when Clinton was president, and now another 3 with Obama with 8 years of you-must-honor-our-president-whether-you-agree-with-him-or-whether-you-are-a-disloyal-surrender-monkey sandwiched in between.
fropfreak
I am looking back through past Madville posts and trying to find your crying when W. Bush took the stock market from 10587 on the day he took office to 8281 when he got the boot. Can't seem to find any.
So then I looked for your links thanking Obama for taking the stock market from 8281 to 12876, and I could not find any.
