Umm, Bill Clinton?
Who do you think did more drugs in their lifetime, Clinton or Dubya?
Probably a horse race (a doped one at that) but my money is on Bush, who had that wild time starting in the Texas National Guard until the age of 40.
With Bubba, it could have been spread over his entire lifetime for all we know.
It would be nice to know.
In general, I would have to say that the personality types of politicians above the municipal level, high pressure lawyers and high pressure brokers are pretty much the same. Extrapolating form the brokers and lawyers that I know and what they get into in their work places (as well as a few former lawyers and brokers who punched out), you run about 20% OCD/workaholic, 20% hard workers (idealists fighting the good/honest fight for lack of a better description), and 60% cracked out substance/sex/whatever abusing sociopaths.
I suspect that most of them view coke, pain killers, tranquilizers, booze, etc. the same way more normal people view a cup of coffee in the morning or a nice steak. Except they have the mild inclination to believe they should be a tad more discreet about the consumption of said items.
That reminds me of a story (don't know if it is true) that someone accused Winston Churchill of drinking a bottle of booze every day during WWII.
As the story goes, he is outraged at this accusation and promptly sets the story straight.
It was two bottles a day, he is supposed to have said.
Gramps
I'd vote for ya!
