Ranting on world hunger and the explosion of food shows .. hah ... how about the abundance of talk shows - especially at night and the lack of documentaries and news shows and interviews with people instead of 5 minutes of who is your current squeeze and what is your favorite charity. Of course the TV viewers are the ones that sort of determine what is on TV and they want fluff .. which is why there is David Letterman, Leno, Rachel Ray and BAM... Emeril Lagasse.
Media outlets could have real interviews and discussions with politicians and legislators. What do you have now CSPAN 1,2,3 that is about as close as it comes. Who's going to pay for all of this ... what about media profit$$$ .. Media outlets are in the busine$$ to make money not enlighten people.
