I'm not sure I understand... I don't have a problem with Palin, but it seems to me that they mixed up Sask. with the Yukon Territories. But both of those are in Canada, so how does this undermine what the Huf. Post reported?

To paraphrase: Ahahahaha! They are retards!
I am totally lost here...

Let me try to help you here. Apparently, when Palin used health care in Canada, it was before the time it was socialized.
If this strikes you as much ado about nothing, we are on the same page. Palin made a comment about using health care in Canada, so somebody (representing the leftist media no doubt) pointed out that she used the Canadian system, but they got it wrong because it wasn't the Canadian system as it exists now back when she used it.
Kind of a boring story about people who get their kicks nitpicking irrelevant details of trivial stories about nothing of importance.
We did learn one completely phony piece of disinformation that compares the Socialist Canadian healthcare system of today (not the good one Palin used long ago) to the American Democrats (of today) who are proposing a totally different plan than Canada' Single Payer Plan. According to the propagandist who wrote this hilarious GOTTCHA piece, not only is Single Payer Socialist, but it is exactly the same as the completely different plan being proposed by Democrats in the US Congress. In fact, they are lumped together as if they are one and the same, which might be true as long as you ignore the fact that they are totally different in almost every way.
Boy is this funny, or what?
I guess it all depends on when in the 60s she crossed. Universal Healthcare was nationalized in 1966 but had already existed in some provinces (most noteably Sask.) since the 1940s ... I still don't understand any of the above and wish the Americans would stop pointing fingers. I happen to like our healthcare system and have used it, as have many family members who have had their lives saved by it without facing huge bills. Continue your debate, but please keep us out of it, there is really no comparing our system with the one proposed South of the border.

You must be one of those Socialist troublemakers who don't recognize that the system you like is not only totally evil and vile, but it is a sign post for the End of the World (as we know it).
Everyone is terrified that the US might adopt a similar plan to yours, except no one has proposed doing so.
It is all silliness and scare tactics.
There is SO much sarcasm going on here I can't tell when people are being serious and when they are f'in around!
