The same place where Reid got the money to make deals with other senators and Pelosi with the reps ... it's your money.

Vote the bums out.

If you're not outraged, you're simply not paying attention.

At least this way the public is getting something for their money, instead of having it disappear into someones pocket in Iraq!

If I had to guess I would just bet that most Senators and Congressmen have taken home some goodies to their respective states! Is your State a net winner or a net loser? I mean does your state pay more in federal taxes than it gets back or the opposite? I mean, they have to spend all that money somewhere, they aren't just going to stuff it in YOUR pocket!

Trust me. No politician has EVER stuffed money in a pocket other than his own.

I would also say that at $13 trillion in debt, and counting, every state is paying more than it is getting back.

Just because the politicians you like are wasting money doesn't make it right.

What form of Government do you actually favor then, since you don't like how this one works?

Depends on what you mean, a practical recreation of the government, or just a philosophy of government?

The first is one that I actually spend a decent amount of time thinking about, but is far to complicated to go into as part of a link's comments. If you want to discuss that, feel free to PM me.

If it is the second, then simply a government that respects its people, a government that realizes every law is an abridgment of the freedom of the people, a government that recognizes that forced charity is just as bad as anything else forced (and that everything it does is at gunpoint), a government that recognizes the majority is not always correct... well, this is starting to go on for far too long as well. Just consider that the short list.

More the former than the latter, although I recognize a need for some minimal government.

I don't support this type of waste and massive deficit spending. I don't vote for politicians that spend this way.

I work for the federal government, and I took an oath to protect and defend as well. The difference is I know that the oath is to protect and defend the Constitution, not those bastards in Congress pissing away American's rights. I suggest you check your oath, because you seem to have forgotten that part.

I'm merely promoting a return to the original concepts for America. Other people seem to pushing for a new European Union. Why don't those people leave and go somewhere that suits them better rather than force America to implement those laws? It would be far faster and we wouldn't end up with compromised crap like the state of the current health bill that satisfies no one.

well, we won't know for sure until someone reeally reads and understands the whole bill...It won't happen that way, HHS is a victim of the CT deficit right now, they won't approve any major spending projects cause the governor messed up the budget for prob the next 7 yrs.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, and someone's asking for a beating
