I heard him a couple of times in radio interviews. He was a very interesting guy and gave the first reliable first-hand account of what was going on in the Soviet Union.
All we had was cheap propaganda to go on for a long time, but when this guy gave us an objective account of what was going on, it was, in some ways, even worse than what the propaganda was saying.
It was an early example for me that the truth is always better than bullshit.
There are some people here who would rather spin a fantasy world than have to deal with the real one. Sure, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but it is healthier to give up the world where Al Gore invented the internet and global warming, with help from the FF, just give that shit up and man up to the REAL world.
