I think this is a brilliant way to acquire an abandoned house. I think it would be easy to do this with "second homes," "vacation homes," "mountain cabins," currently unoccupied trailer homes in trailer parks, currently unoccupied camper and tent in RV parks, etc. As you can see in this article, it doesn't matter if the furniture is still in the house. If a person has a enough money to own a second home they have too much money and not enough compassion for those that do no have homes. If the homesteaders do not squat themselves, I think the government should do it for them. It's not different if a person or couple owns a three bedroom home and the kids have grown and moved out. There are millions of homeless people both here and abroad that need a roof over their heads. There are many sites that teach you how to squat in a dwelling. I encourage you and your friends to read, understand, and accomplish.
