It's a beautiful tree, but I think it could only be considered 'the most unusual tree in the world' if it grew that way naturally. Wood carving itself is not uncommon.
Do you have any other info on it - like what kind of tree, what effect the carvings have had on the tree's health, location, artist info, anything?

It's a Disney tree and the carvings had no effect on it because it isn't real.
The Tree of Life located in Animal Kingdom at Disney World Orlando..
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
