This article proves that countries who have high taxes to support social programs but spend little on defense are far superior to America. America should follow that lead and depend on the Canadian military for the defense of the US, send patients to Canada where they can get quality, free, medical care, scale down their financial, medical and military support of the world and turn that military and medical money into progressive votes.
When you really listen to *who* is complaining about taxes, 9 times out of 10 it's a person who is a net beneficiary of federal money. Unless you're upper-middle class and above, you can't really complain. After all of your deductions, you're not really paying your "fair share." And many middle class people with families pay no tax at all. In fact, they get checks in the mail through the earned income tax credit. So not only are they bitching about the taxes being too high, they aren't paying their fair share AND they sometimes get an additional check from the government.
And those will be the people you see at tea parties screaming about taxes. Makes no sense to me. The BBC recently had an article about this phenomenon in America. Check out mu submitted links to view the video.
Kinda weird that the highest are all members of the European Union... did they even look at asia or africa?
