that is pretty amazing
Wow.
they are awesome.
Now you know why the Impressionistic, and Modern school of painting developed! Why spend a month doing what a camera can do in under a second!! Though they really look good!
True but they are prettier!
I spent a helluva lot longer looking at the portraits in this collection than I would normally have spent looking if it were a regular photograph :)
True, bu that also holds true for some really artistic Photographers like Ansel Adams! A real artist is still an artist whether he uses a brush or a camera! I'm lucky if 1 in a 100 pictures is a real stand out!!
Most of these were done in photoshop so I wouldn't personally consider them paintings. All the really detailed ones were done in photoshop like the train stations, the picnic area, the female portrait, but some are paintings like the graffiti one and the self portrait. So yes those are very impressive, even the photoshop ones are very impressive, but not as impressive as they'd be if they were paintings.
I'm not sure about the photoshop...the sources under the pictures say if they are oil or canvas photos (check the sources for the female portrait to see what I'm saying)
Yes it looks like I was wrong about the female portrait picture, but the picnic one and the train station one are 100% photoshop as that is what Bert Monroy uses. This is taken directly from that page under the station scene picture. "This Photoshop image by Bert Monroy uses a total image count of over 15,000". So I should change my statement to say SOME of these not most.
Hyper-realism. You're doing it right.

If these paintings are indeed paintings then I'm in awe.
