What is the most expensive scotch in the world?
There is more than the price to make the worlds most expensive scotch unique. The bottle of scotch, a Dalmore 62 Single Highland Malt Scotch Whiskey, was one of the twelve bottles produced from four single malts. Each of the four malts came from a different year and these years were: 1868, 1876, 1926, and 1939. Each bottle was produced in 1943 and had its own label and name. The most expensive was called Mathesone, after Alexander Mathesone, the Dalmore Estates owner.
The bottle was sold at an auction in the Pennyhill Park Hotel in Surrey for $58,000. The buyer of the bottle shared it with five of his friends and its believed that these are the only people to have actually tasted any scotch from this collection.
I have to say I'm a little surprised the bottle was opened although I have to admire a guy that will share a 58k bottle with some buds.

The foosball table with the heads cast in the likeness of friends/family.. too cool!
