Who knows, maybe this guy will be proven correct. I think it is too soon to tell.
I do know that the US Supreme Court has been conclusively proven wrong in its Bush v Gore decision that ushered in 8 years of misdirection, incompetence, blame shifting (that continues to this day), and just overall disaster.
I sincerely hope that the next few years will be better than the last 8.

Oh yeah. My tax dollars not hard at work but instead being given away. Move over Jimmy Carter.

GW gave a lot of tax dollars away, just to a different group.

You don't seem to have a problem with that.

Reply to Gramps:

There is an important lesson here gramps, if you give billions in taxpayer money to stockholder buddies through no-bid contracts, good, give billions to rebuild infrastructure and create jobs, bad.

Actually both sides of that argument are stupid.

GW gave kickbacks and no bid contracts which wasted a lot of money and produced the need for additional labor. i.e. created jobs.

Obama is giving a bunch of eremarks and kickbacks (and i'll bet you see more than a few no-bid contracts from the stimulus eremarks), which will also inefficiently create a need for some labor. i.e. jobs.

They are the same thing. Probably the only thing you can say positive about the spendign by obama is that it will fund domestic graft and corruption rather than foreign, but I also doubt that will hold true long term.

what is stupid is the implication that there is a significant difference between the two.

Definitely too soon too tell but I think we were all expecting overnight success based on his hype.

We're working hard to implement your feedback ideas.

I honestly don't think it's too early to tell. Think back to 2000 and how hard everyone was on Bush. But still his apporval ratings were higher than Obama today.

I also believe spending over $1 trillion in under 4 weeks shows how inept he really is. What has he done so far? Spent more money in his first 50 days that any president in our history before. He campaigned as the "man to stop earmarks" The bill right now is full of pork and other bullshit. Look at the spending bill he got passed already. No one in congress had read it through! Obama hadn't even read it. But it was OHHHHH SOOOOO important to get it through ASAP. Then he took the weekend off to sign it on a monday! But I thought it was important!

Obama also campaigned on change. WHAT FREAKING CHANGE??!! We have damn near the complete Clinton administration, we have boat loads of spending going on, we are turning our backs on our closest friends in the world, we are opening talks to our enemies who have sworn to wipe us off the map. Can someone please tell me how this differs from Carter and Clinton? What change.

Hope for [spare] change. Cause thats all he's leaving us with.
