Off the top of my head and in no particular order~
1.Terminator 2
2.Tank Girl
3.The Fifth Element
4.Princess Bride
5.Who Framed Roger Rabbit
6.Legend
7.The Shawshank Redemption
8.The Green Mile
9.Lilo and Stitch
10.Forrest Gump
The only thing they all have in common is that I own all on DVD and that if I come across any of them while flipping through channels I'll still sit and watch 'em, even with commercials.
I would have likely changed this list a bunch of times before I was finally happy with it, so I didn't let myself do so. Just picked the ones I know off the top of my head are definitely on the DVD shelf.
Some good pulls there. Shawshank was/is on my list still just haven't committed. I shoulda just off the top of my head as well.

I can't believe I forgot Top Secret! or Airplane!
Or....

Tank Girl!!! Are you serious. You liked Tank Girl!!! And I actually took your movie-going critique regarding Eagle Eye as half serious...
fOx
I have now lost all respect for you... excuse me while I go grieve the passing of a good friend.
fOx
seriously.. .can you even tell me what the plot of that movie was?!??!!? Chick can control a tank with her brain, but seriously dehydrated guys seem to be a problem???
fOx
This coming from eagle eyes number one fan?

It made/makes me laugh. That's its appeal.
I'm with you on Tank Girl. That movie cracks me up. "his face was gutted"

"I have two words for you, BRUSH YOUR TEETH!" that line makes me laugh every time. And the scene in the airplane when she breaks the soldiers neck with her legs.
Using Zem's criteria:
Office Space
Pulp Fiction
The Big Lebowski
The Wizard of Oz
To Wong Foo...
Otto, or up with dead people
Blue Velvet
Nightwatching
The Red Balloon
A Streetcar Named Desire The Fugitive Kind
I like the idea of putting Who Framed Roger Rabbit on the list. Under rated film in my opinion.
Godfather and Godfather II for certain
A few that haven't been mentioned yet
Shindler's List
Apollo 13
True Romance
2001 A Space Odyssey
A Secret Garden
Little Women
Alien
The Longest Day
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Goonies
Star Wars
Back to the Future
Many others
A person's top 10 would change alla time - a top 50 or even 100 would be more indicative...
I agree. That being said even a top 100 I got money says only you 'n Zem still have Tank Girl on your list.

Everything is subjective.
Tweezers and a magnifying glass, boy, that's all I need.

I love too many of them. To even sit down and try to narrow it to 10 would be a chore for me, but I'll throw some out
Shaun of the dead
goodfellas
clockwork orange
dawn of the dead (original and the remake)
step brothers & wedding crashers( i could watch these once a week and not get tired of them)
Apocalypse now
Monty python and the holy grail
Predator and alien franchises
Heat
I love the godfather too. I also thing Roger Rabbit is a highly underrated movie. I swear I wore out the VHS tape we had it on I watched it so many times. Plus how could could a boy grow up on that movie and not fall in love with Jessica Rabbit.
<3 Monty python and the holy grail, don't own it though.
1. Rocky
2. The Dark Knight
3. Spaceballs
4. Ocean's Eleven (1960)
5. The Pink Panther Strikes Again
6. Office Space
7. Smokey and the Bandit
8. First Blood
9. Italian Job
10. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
fOx
Let the flaming begin......
I've only seen 2,3, and 5.
you've got to get on the rest... seriously. If you liked my pick for Hulk, you will looooooove these.

fOx
How is it possible that you have never seen Office Space?
And what about First Blood, that was the first and probably the best Rambo movie.
Easy, I haven't seen it.
And nope, haven't seen first blood either.
First blood is THE BEST Rambo movie eva! (in Zem-ese, for the rest of us this word is "ever")
fOx
In Zemese it would be 'evAr!'
Hmmmph.
I am out of practice... sue me.
