Apr 15, 08 09:05 am — Just an update. BeggarsFarm and I will be graduating from college in three weeks. We will be getting married in late July and going to graduate school starting in August.

But congrats to you and BF. The mrs and I started out pretty much the same way back in the 70's and we are still together 30 some years later, so it can be done. Everyone says the first year is the hardest, and that was certainly our experience, but I wish nothing but happiness and success to you both.

I was with the Universal Life Church, but I can't find my certificate. I can't get a new one online, because they want all your damn personal information now. Screw em.

Actually a friend of ours did get ordained as a jedi just in case we needed someone. We're actually using a guy who worked with me at Sears last summer, which doesn't sound any better now that I think about it.
Save your money and just go to the courthouse and get married.
I'm 39+ years in with my wife. As I look back, my father in law, after the wedding, told us he'd have given us $1,000 if we'd have just gone to the Justice of the Peace. A little late, pops.

actually everything is going to be quite inexpensive. We've got a five grand budget for the whole shebang and we're not where near topping that as of yet. Helps when you have parents who have friends. Got a free dj (with equipment), two free photographers, and a good but cheap catering deal (her parents worked with the guy for like 10 years). We're having the ceremony (the whole 15 minutes) at the same place as the reception.
The cheaper you make it the more fun mon you'll have for the hornymoon.
How are you gonna fly all of us out with $5K?
