pagerank means nothing for sites like madville because link aggregation sites game the system. a lot of the algorithm is based on links in and out of the site; link aggregation sites are implicitly created to do this. so a pagerank of 5 is a meaningless statistic for a site like this, whereas for a retail site, it is very important.
and there is no way a page on madville could ever have a pagerank of a billion unless there were literally a billion inbound links.
