I like Rob Zombie, but still a big fan of White Zombie.
I saw Ozzy when he was with a real rock & roll band. You might have heard of them, they were called Black Sabbath. You kids don't know what you missed in the 70's. pfft
You kids don't know what you missed in the 70's.
Yes we do know, and that's why disco is dead.
Yep, I said it.. disco... is.... dead.
Disco was late 70's and it sucked and deserved to die. I'm talking about the golden age of rock and roll. It ended about 1975.
I missed the show here a few days ago. The radio stations said Zombie rocked the house, and Ozzy needs to retire. Be prepared for backing vocals for poor old Ozzy. He was great, and still is, but I think his time has come.
Yes Zombie did put on a great show. Ozzy is well Ozzy he forgot a few of the lyrics and was off beat a couple of times but I was expecting that so I wasn't dissapointed in the show. Ozzy has a fanbase that will forgive him these little transgressions because he is such a Heavy Metal Icon.
I don't want him to retire but if he does I just saw his last show!
That's the line I used to keep my wife from arguing with me about going to the last Ozzfest show in West Palm Beach, then he announced this tour as soon as the Ozzfest tour ended. The good part of that is hopefully I can use the same excuse next year.
And, there are those of you who may think Ozzy is done, but I can tell you, he still puts on a better show than 90% of bands out there; and he always has an all star band behind him that makes his music just spectacular. If you question that, look at the list of who's played for him on recent albums and tours - Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo, Mike Bordin, Jerry Cantrell, Randy Castillo, the list is endless.
Also, he's off the medication that was causing him to slur his words and look like a drunken fool, he sued his doctor that had overprescribed him and got off that stuff two years ago. So if you're expecting the Ozzy that was documented on The Osbournes, he's not there anymore except for the occasional party night. Funny thing is that if he hadn't nearly killed himself on a four wheeler in England, he'd have never gotten the medical care away from the doc who was making him comfortably numb. That said, he is getting older, and doesn't have all the vocal range he once had, and he will forget verses here and there (he left out the third verse of Flying High Again at Ozzfest, and when he realized he was going in a different direction from his band, he sang the second verse again); but he is the Prince of Darkness and the Father of Heavy Metal, so we should all pay our respects anyway.
He put on a hell of a show got the crowd involved. And the rose garden allows you to take drinks back to your seats so woo hoo $7.00 Jack and cokes all night long!
I loved his line ups over the years. Randy Castillo however hasn't been doing anything recently.
I know, too bad. But I always am amazed at the talent he brings with him, his guitarist alone is worth the price of admission.
I don't know what Zach Wilde has been taking but he is a big motherfucker now.!!!! Still an incredilble guitarist even if his bicepts are bigger than my thighs.
He might just be working out alot.
Plus it could have just been the lighting. Lighting makes all of the difference in musculature appearance. Shadow and highlight exaggerate the features.
No he was just fucking cut! I saw him with Ozzy in 89 and he was just a skinny little kid. The Jumbo Tron didn't lie.

That tonight? Have a blast, my friends said the Minnesota show on Halloween was superb!
