Not that big of baseball fan, but congrats to them!
I have a little gig once a week playing Mr. Microphone for my favorite bar's Monday Night Football games, working with a different brewer each week, giving prizes away etc. I was hoping there'd be a 5th game tonight, just adds that much more to the sports fun. Also sells more beer and makes me look better. Doesn't say much for the National League does it?

Yankees total salary 2007 - $ 189 Mil
Red Sox total salary 2007 - $143 Mil
Rockies total salary 2007 - $54 Mil
The Rockies had a great run but I think the Rockies 8 day layoff I think did them in .. they were undeniably the hottest team in baseball winning 21 out of 22 games .. then they had an eight day layoff .. and naturally they became cold waiting for the AL slackers in the Rocky Mountain cold..
Yankees and Red Sox are not that different - both steep in tradition .. both hate each other .. both have gross team salaries .... both have good fans/obnoxious fans.
I'd rather go to a Boston game only because the fans are not as crazy as Yankees fans and Fenway is a pretty neat park. All said and done .. congrats Boston.
