i'm going to london next week for a few days - thursday morning to saturday night (i fly home sunday morning).
i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on cheap/free stuff to do while i'm there. i've been before and have seen the major touristy things. and i'm really only going because there's a promotion with american airlines that if i go, i get 25,000 BONUS frequent flyer miles. and i had a flight voucher from getting bumped off a flight before, so basically i'm spending $62 to go to london for a few days.
however, i am poor, so i'm looking for cool stuff to see/do while i'm there. i'm not stupid, i know its an expensive place, but i know there's a few of you that may know something that i should check out.

i won't be in til next week on the 22nd - but we should get together for a pint of something. i leave again sunday morning the 25th.
i want to venture outside of london, but with limited time and VERY limited funds, we'll see. i may just take the train out of the city one day and see where i want to go. who knows.
i was in england once before, so i feel no pressure to see the touristy things that i've already been to. but i will more than likely take a shit ton of photos.
and if i do see you, zem says i can't come back to the states unless you do 'numa numa' for me.

If you're on for a stupendous piss up, I'll be out in Marlow this Friday night. You're welcome to crash over at mine. Not exactly a cheap night, but I'll shout you a drink or two.
Otherwise, if like a typical American you don't venture outside of London, head down to Cafe 1001 in Brick Lane. Buy your beer by the can outside, not in a glass the the venue itself. Some awesome trance and jazz funk to be had down that lane.
