Elections?
Would have drawn more attention if the title would have read:
ERECTION RESULTS!
I just love the politicians:
It's a great night for the [fill in with name of party].
Too bad it's not a great night for AMERICANS.
I don't know cmass. You were pretty certain that Kerry was going to win the 04 presidential election.

I THINK ITZ GOOD THAT YOU CARE BECUZ PEEPS WHO DONT ARE STUPID AND DONT CARE ABOUT AMERICA
CURRENT MOOD
I think anyone who voted for a democrat to shake things up will be sorely disappointed.
The National party now has about $20M in loans to pay back out of next years campaign funds. They have to raise money in quantities unprecedented even before mccain-feingold in order to run at the usual cash disadvantage next year.
They will be way to busy selling legislation to the highest bidder to do anything.
They won't be ending the war anytime soon, and they won't impeach bush anytime soon. They won't repeal any executive powers because the last democratic congress was stupid enough to roll up all the individual executive powers into one omnibus which gets renewed or dumped as a whole.
With some luck, we at best got some gridlock out of it.
Our only hope is to break the Democrat and Republican parties like we have other monopolies. They are both out of control, self serving and are slowly killing this great country.
I think you have your thumb right on it this time, raz. I see some cosmetic shakeup, maybe even a LITTLE bit of substance, but not much else, and for exactly the reasons you stated.
The dems will Stay the Course a little bit less than if the GOP had won again. Sadly, that is the best we could hope for under the circumstances.

Im glad many of the good ol boys got voted out of office .. too bad they werent replaced by a 3rd party candidate. People are doomed to repeat past mistakes.
I voted mostly 3rd party this election, I did vote for 1 Republican and 1 democrat though.
