Whoa what a concidence, I'm actually driving with a buddy to Denver this evening. We plan on spending the weekend skiing and I'll be back next Tuesday.

What are you going there for?

I'd recommend skiing, skiing, and some skiing.

Eat at the Y

When I was going through my long and bitter divorce, around the time when the fees had gone through $100,000, I asked my lawyer - a specialist with lots of experience and a Roman Catholic - what he'd do if his wife ever wanted to drag him through divorce.

Does that mean that every person who gets laid in Denver is a member of the mile high club?

I only know about Aspen and Vail, sorry. Have a fun and safe weekend.

Good stuff to eat:

Cheaper -

Celtic Tavern (really!)
Las Delicias (authentic mex)
Painted Bench (good for lunch)
Metropolis coffee (for coffee. BEST caps and espresso in Denver)
Parisi (Italian deli. a bit outside metro area)

Not-so-cheap (but great) -

Sparrow
Somethin' Else (all small plates, i.e. tapas style eating)
Mizuna ($$$)
Duo (small menu, but the best chef in Denver)
Rioja
Bistro Vendome
Domo (great Japanese, but $$$, better for lunch)
Sushi Tazu
Barolo Grill (upscale Italian)
Vesta Dipping Grill (fun way to eat, excellent chef and kitchen staff)

As always, avoid the chain restaurants!

My Bologna has a first name. But, it had the misfortune of eating paint chips as a child. Therefore, he prefers to be called Mort......

Doing a winterover? I've been thinking of applying for that myself. Check out the orientation material at Big Dead Place.
