Jan 22, 06 03:52 pm — Not to beat a dead horse, and I won't harp on it anymore, this is a followup on one of my "not very interesting" link submissions.

This 1950 GM Futureliner was up for action Saturday night at the Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale and was sold for $4.1 million, plus an 8% buyers commission. Here is another site devoted to these amazing vehicles.

I thought it was interesting.

If the woman was trying to steal the paper, they shouldn't have helped her. If you try to rip something off, and get caught up/injured doing so, it's your own damn fault.

The article just mentions that she felt 50 cents was too expensive, but doesn't say she tried to steal it, least not what I read.

If it was a freak accident and the machine wanted to eat her and she was law abiding, then help her!

But obviously, if no one knew the story, I'd think people should try to help her. It's Walmart though, what can the workers do besides greet you. :)

You should read more carefully. She wasn't trying to steal a paper. She bought one, and didn't want to pay again to get the machine to let her go. I don't blame her on principle, but I think my threshold for stubbornness would be about 5 dollars.

blah blah blah, against company policy. jesus christ, you have a brain and free will, use it people. i would've put fifty cents in the machine right away. well, maybe after i ran away and laughed a little.

I originally saw this story on fark, and the headline said that she stole it, but the article said nothing about it.

I got mislead by that. Either way, I don't know what I'd do.

The opening bid was $100,000 and the bidding was fast as it climbed to the $4 million mark. Now THAT was reality TV I enjoyed watching.

Sadly, I don't have that channel. Looked great from the previews though.

Friday night I was feeling a little under the weather so a friend came over and we watched Barrett-Jackson too. Friday night they auctioned off lots of Hemi's, a few Vets, and Shelby's and then some older classic cars from the 30's. I wish I could have been there to see it live. The energy was incredible.

Every breath you take And every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you Whisper my favorite words: "I'll buy it for you." What do people mean when they say the computer went down on me?

Watching the million dollar cars on Saturday was amazing. I'd love to go there, just for the car show. But, if I ever win the lotto, stand back, I'm buying something.
