That sounds like an awful lot of work to go to, just to make a sandwich
Edit - My curiosity, combined with the fact that I'm going to have to fend for myself for a week (Noooo!!!) means that I'm going to have to give this a try....

Challah bun? Thinly sliced kosher dill pickle? Pastrami?
Had it not been for the cream cheese I would have sworn this was a Kosher Deli favorite.
Kosher delis are my favorite. But I have, do and will continue to mix meat and dairy.
Mmmmmm
Now I am in the mood for a lean pastrami on rye, a half sour pickle and knish.

Get yourself some smoked Gouda STAT. It's devine
What is in that besides the donor meat?
Cheese and ketchup - I'm an anti-vegetarian
lmao
Ahh, kay is shredded cheese I take it, looked a bit like rice.
Cheese and ketchup in a kebab? Crazy southerners.
Tru.

Ok, so true to my word I tried the above "sangwitch". Due to the anti-semitic nature of Tesco I couldn't get the funny bread, and my dill pickles weren't kosher, but I reckon I did well enough.
It certainly was nice, but the portion size was a bit much for me. It could be nicely shared between two. Thanks for the recipe Wit!
Voila:

Mmm, Pepsi Max.
Yup.
You can fry it in peanut oil and add as many mushrooms and onions as you want, but it is still a Spam sandwich.
I don't think Wit was referring to Spam. There is no such thing as 'Spam pastrami'
Luncheon meats = deli meats = roast beef, pastrami, turkey, and the Italian meats like salami and other pork products.
Luncheon meat does indeed equal SPAM (Shoulder of Pork And haM) and it tasted very nice!
Ah, I see. In the UK I think luncheon meat is only Spam or similar pork-like tinned 'meat'.
luncheon meat
Ummm. Yeah. That's friggin nasty.
And I was referring to Wits journal, not your comment
You mean I made the wrong type of sammich?
Sounds like it, but if you enjoyed it no harm no foul.
Try bourbon chicken tomorrow! ::grin::

I once rubbed spam on my private areas. It wasn't quite as nice as dust though. Oh, different kind of spam, sorry.
