Aqualung came out when I was about the age that you and JoeCool are now. It is kinda weird that you guys are such big fans. At the time, I thought they were the greatest, but haven't given them much thought since. I still like the music, but I guess I don't understand the passion for something I have taken for granted most of my life. Bottom line: I'm glad you guys had such a good time, and that you have such good taste in music.
/wonders if they know about Led Zepplin, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, BTO, The Who, The Guess Who, ....
Of course we know about Led Zepplin, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Who, andThe Guess Who, ....it's BTO I can't put a finger on.
BTO, Bachman Turner Overdrive, or as we called them as the band started to grow old and stale, Bad Tunes Overplayed.
BTO
BF...I don't know who looks happier, you or your Dad.

Good to hear you had such a good time. Bands rarely live up to such high expectations, but it sounds like JT did.
I'm glad you enjoyed the concert, I've been a fan for years as well. I thought Thick as a Brick was their best work.
I didn't know you were so pretty, your smile would light up a football stadium!
Pretty? hah..thanks.... I was smiling so much trying to hide the fact that I get nervous in big crowds and the people were beginning to pour in
Yes, great smile. What was Dad reaching for? Or was he just holding the pipe down?
LOL he had his hand on my knee cause I was nervous and he was trying to be a comforting father
If you ever get the chance to see them at a decent indoor venue, do so. They almost always have a decent sound man, and he gets a lot more out of an enclosed space provided it isn't something horrible like a metal shack.
I've seen them three times, and I have to say the smaller the venue the better the show. But something's better than nothing, and ian and his voice aren't getting any younger.
actually his voice sounded really good...a bit different no doubt but not bad at all. Yeah I'd love to see them again, but the atmosphere with the chilly air, stars, full moon, and Jethro Tull could have only been better if one could have eliminated the rank smell of stale beer and cigarettes.
That is so cool.
I happen to be going to my fantasy concert next week. In my wildest dreams I didn't think these three getting back together would ever happen.
I have been waiting my whole life for this and I am gonna bring a whole bunch of kleenex!

The original cast of Cream? Wowzer.
Why kleenex?
I was willing to fly to the UK to see them last Spring (before I knew they were going to perform here) but the tickets were almost three times more than I would have paid for airfare and hotel.
After the concert Andy was kind enough to send me the concert reviews and I read them while I ate my heart out.
Yes, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce, back together again. Who would have thunk it?
The Kleenex is for me. I got teary eyed just seeing Clapton do a solo in concert, I figure the tears are really gonna flow for this one.
Cream... Kleenex... ::grin:: I'll let it slide this time...
OMG!
Spitter warning.
You just couldn't help yourself, eh?

yeahrightsure!
lol
Cream, kleenex, spitter.
Just exactly what are we talking about here?
A concert I am going to next week.

So glad to hear you had a good time! I will be seeing Tull next month here in Denver for....I think my 18th time if I count it all correctly. I am taking my partner in business, who has never seen them live, but is a prog rock fan. I tell him he will be amazed at the musicianship he will enjoy, especially for some wheezy old geezers! Ians' voice is not what it once was, but he still has the talent that most could only hope for. Check out the vid with him and Tinkara on the Tull website, it's simply amazing....
Martin has some good chops still, and Andy, Doane, and Jon make for a pretty tight set. I hope you get to see them again!

Sounds like you had an amazing time. Glad you got to see it and enjoyed it so much.
