Sep 03, 04 02:24 pm — I got a perch* sandwich for lunch today and it was not until now that I did not get any coleslaw with it. Now I know that I read it on the specials board and plainly stated that it did not come with coleslaw, but I should have taken it upon myself to order coleslaw in place of the french-fries.

Here on the West Coast of Wisconsin or the Eastern Shore of Lake Michigan, whichever you wish to call it, it is a common thing to serve coleslaw with any of the common Friday Fish Frys. Having a Fish Fry without coleslaw is like having popcorn at the movies without butter & salt, or having Popsicles without ketchup!

It doesnt matter whether the coleslaw is the creamy, or mayo based, or if it is the vinegar based stuff. It is delicious. And now for the rest of my day, I am on a mission to get myself a side order of coleslaw to complete my lunch. It might take me til 9:00 oclock tonight, but by-golly, Im gonna get me some coleslaw.

I hope you took that hook out it before eating it.
You said fried, it didn't look fried to me.

But I have to admit that fish and coleslaw sounds great!

Coleslaw is god damned good all by itself. I don't get to eat a lot of it, but given the chance to, I'm all upons.

Coleslaw is the ticket, especially with a fish sandwich.

Coleslaw is easy to make. One head of cabbage, a couple carrots, mayo, vinegar, salt pepper and maybe a dash of lemon and yer done. The best coleslaw sits in the fridge fer a day tho.

Classic English cuisine. Overcooked and in paste form. And damn tasty. I usually go for both 'slaw and mushy peas.
