Aug 16, 04 07:47 pm — I did this pharmaceutical study last year for Rimonabant, a selective CB1 endocannabinoid receptor antagonist for the treatment of obesity and cessation of smoking. I've been off of it since December, but still have no desire to smoke a cigarette. Now I can smell fragrances and not just odors. I can run without feeling like my lungs are on fire. No more pock marks on the carpet of my car. I don't have that strong layer of nicotine smog trailing me, and coating my hands. I can smell a smoker two blocks away now. I'm guessing the money I'm saving is going into my gas tank and on my two pack a day juicy fruit habit. It's amazing that I smoked for around twenty years, it's like banging your head against the wall as hard as you can because it feels so good when you stop.

On a side note:

Anyone else notice the censoring of links lately. It seems like I have clicked on a few links only to have them open up a new madville home page with that link missing. I've notice this mostly on "just posted" articles but have also seen it happen to "controversional" or political articles.

Congrats on kicking the disgusting cig habit.
It is supposed to be tougher to beat than heroin addiction, according to my sources.

In my circle of friends pall mall, camel unfiltered and kool filter kings are the rule. Clove falls into that eclectic or GAY category. (not that there is anything wrong with that). Yeah, in the beginning I quit for like two weeks and then broke down and smoked one, it was like cold heroin hitting warm blood. I gave up motha too... (until I ran into a friend with some hydro...)

As I read your post , I'm enjoying a nice, aromatic cup of coffee and I just lite up my second cigarette of the morning. The first one is good, but the second one of the day is better. I enjoy smelling the pack as I open it . I enjoy holding that ciagette in my hand, anxiously lighting it with my shitty , disposable lighter. Then that first drag gives me a rush that can not be duplicated for the rest of the day. Always have to have two in a row with the morning coffee. Then just driving around listening to music with the car window , slightly open to let that wonderful smoke escape the car. Lunch time, light up while I read the menu and decide. Eat my meal anticipating my apres cigarette. Later just have one with a diet Coke . Then dinner the best activity to smoke after, with the exception of love making. Have a nice cocktail and cigarette, while I decide what to eat. Then after the main course order a decadent dessert with a cup of coffee, to enjoy with a cigarette afterwards. I truly enjoy smoking.

P.S. Congrats on quitting. ***exhales***
