Jul 12, 04 05:03 am — Friends recommend movies to me all the time. And sometimes these movies are total crap.
Occasionally, there's a gem that I'm glad I took the time to watch.
If you could suggest just one movie to your friends, one you know they would just love, what would it be?
I'm recommending Delicatessen.

Probably "The Boondock Saints", at this point in time. It's got a cult following, but is pretty small-time and there are a LOT of people who don't know about it. Everyone should see this flick.
I was rummaging through my brothers DVD collection when I visited him last April, and I found a copy of this tucked away at the back.
Watched it that evening, and thought it was excellent.
Willem Defoe is awesome.
I have to agree, great movie. I saw it for the first time about a year or so ago, and I see it every now and then when I want a few decent laughs.

I'd never heard of this one so I looked it up. I really like Jon Favreau, so I'll check this one out.
For the most part we got quite mainstream movie watching types.
Most of the movies I'd recommend involve leather masks and anal sex I doubt you prudes are into any of that.
Remember that time we got naked, bought a bunch of used Ginsu knives and watched Ichi The Killer until the wee hours of the morning?

I'm going looking for the GNfOS movie at BlockBuster. With a title like that it has to be the shittiest movie since the B movie "Jack Frost" and "The Ice Cream Man" starring Clint Howard, Ron Howards fucked up brother.
You've probably seen it, but The Thing With Two Heads is high on my list of cheesy classics.

Delicatessen? Froggy, have you seen my profile page? GREAT choice. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Brazil. My other two favs are Do the Right Thing and Blade runner.

I love rope, but I've never heard of Desk Set. Think I'll try and rent it when I get a chance. Sounds similar to another great one, The Apartment - you should check that out if you haven't. Great to see someone with such good taste in movies.
