He lived for many wonderful years and made my life happier by sharing his time with me.

the last cat my parents had died unexpectedly in the litter box. we think it choked or somethign. it was kind of sad. but my sister took a picture of it with it's head cocked over the corner, and that was pretty funny. (it was time to have no pets anyway).

My condolences Frogs.
Fro, I am sorry to hear of your loss, but, having grown up on a farm, I have buried many a cat. Be thankful for the joy they had, and move on. Life is a cycle.
That sucks.
My moms wonderful dog is on her way out with heart failure. Its going to be a sad day when that happens.
I once had a friend tell me (after a kittah of mine died, as well) "Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all." I was mad at that at first, until I realized how true it was. I'm sorry for your loss. Carmen's life was better for you as owner, as well....

everyone looks at me funny when i loved one departs, cause i dont get upset or cry. i just look at it as a good thing becuase they arent suffereing anylonger and may find peace wherever they are now. so enjoy the memories because in the end it is the only thing you can take throughout life.
