Aug 07, 03 11:56 pm — I finally have a chance to get to the East coast, something I have never done. Some friends of ours rent a house in Cape Cod every year, and have invited us to come along. We pay for the airfare, and get a room for free, all I have to do is cook the meals. All that wonderful fresh Atlantic seafood, gee what a bummer!

What are the absolute have-tos in this area? Our friend is from there and knows the area well, but I would like some input on what not to miss while in the area. We may try to make a side trip to Nantucket and/or Martha's Vineyard. We will be flying in and out of Boston, but is sounds as if we will not spend too much time there.

Any ideas, MV folk?

If you go to Martha's Vineyard be sure to make it to Mememsha. That whole island is beautiful though. The Cape is beautiful, I'm sure you'll love it, just don't move there!

If you have the time, definitely take the trip to Nantucket for a day.
It is a very very cool place and well worth the ferry ride.
Have a great time!

The cape is cool, but I don't know that there's any "Must Do" stuff there. Martha's Vineyard is great though. And P-Town is good, just for the experience... lol
Never been to Nantucket, though I hear there's a very gifted man there.
